Lene Karlsen loves to cook, and puts a lot of effort into offering traditional food combined with modern food! The café is centrally located down by the old ferry dock on Hemnesberget, right next to the petrol station, and you are invited in! In the summer, there is a large outdoor terrace with a view of the fjord and the mountains surrounding Hemnesberget.
Lene serves everything from coffee and home-baked cakes and wheat pastries, to delicious lunch and dinner dishes. In addition to the traditional Norwegian Sunday dinner, the á-la-carte menu also includes fast food such that the café offers something to suit all palates. Lene even arranges pub nights every other Friday, and a little outside of that. Odd-numbered weeks in summer and even-numbered weeks in winter.
