Since 1958, Korgfjellet Fjellstue has served delicious food to happy guests on hikes or car trips, and even after the E6 was tunneled through the mountain in 2005, Asgeir Molden and his staff have kept their doors open as long as the road over the mountain has been open… ie . mostly from Easter to October / November.
From the parking lot at Fjellstua at the top of the mountain, at 555 m.h. you have a panoramic view of Okstindan, Lukttindan and Svartisbreen on fine weather days. Here you will also find the start of trails if you need to stretch your legs, or you can pack your hiking bag and walk for miles on your own. From Easter there are cross-country ski tracks in both directions from Fjellstua and it is a popular starting point for both long and short trips.
