On a mountain hike, don’t just look at the horizon and the stunning view. Stop occasionally and treat yourself to a very close look at all the things that are growing right by where you’re placing your boot. On your hike you have the opportunity to see several kinds of heather, flowers, fascinating leaves in many shapes and sizes, mushrooms, mosses and lichen. They are as magnificent as any work of art!
