Klemetspelet is a large outdoor theatre musical about the Sami Klemet, who lived with his family under a rock at the top of Leirskardalen around the turn of the last century. Klemet both fascinated and frightened. It was said that he could smell, but also heal with herbs and magic.
The play tells the story of the legendary life of Klemet and Anna, and attempts to paint a picture of a time and a society that is distant, but which also has characteristics of our own time. Here you will meet enthusiastic local talents in a team of professional actors, who will take you on a journey through Klemet's exciting life; colorfully conveyed through text, music, dance and yoik.
The game takes place on Jamtjorden, surrounded by a scenography that blends into the elements of nature, and which has won awards in several international competitions.
Jamtjordmartnan
Right next to the arena is the atmospheric Jamtjordmartnan. At this old marketplace you will experience life and activity, with Sami-inspired tents, huts and stalls. Here you can stroll around in a time travel of smells, tastes and experiences. You can smell freshly baked Kamkake, see craftsmen at work with quality products, experience art exhibitions, listen to music, taste local food and drink, and have an experience you will never forget.
Klemetspelet arrangeres normalt annet hvert år i Leirskardalen, ikke langt fra Korgen sentrum. Etter spelet i 2024 blir det et litt lengre opphold, og neste spel arrangeres i august 2027. Hjertelig velkommen!
