In September 2014, after persistent volunteer efforts, Hemnesberget and Hemnesjazz finally got their own clubhouse. The name Jernvaren hints at the previous use of the premises, which are located next door to the local Coop store.
At Jernvaren you get strong musical experiences, both during the annual festivals and the more or less weekly concerts. Musicians come here from far away, and the audience comes from the entire region. When Helgeland was closed down due to corona, it was Jernvaren that was chosen as the arena for Helgeland Digitalscene. Links to these concerts can be found on the right.
Jernvaren is known for its excellent acoustics and great atmosphere, and has room for around 180 people. Now that an outdoor arena has also been established on the ground right outside the venue, the stage is set for even more great music experiences both indoors and outdoors, right by the seafront at Hemnesberget.
