Gråfjellhytta

Gråfjellhytta is beautifully situated not far from Okstindbreen at approximately 1000 m above sea level and offers 16 beds divided into three bedrooms, a dog room and a loft. In addition, there are four beds in the security cabin, where you are also allowed to bring a dog.

The best starting point for visiting Gråfjellhytta is Inderdalen Gård in Brygfjelldalen. You can also walk from Leirbotn in Leirskardalen, but then you have to follow the longest DNT trail down towards Sjurfinnheimen to avoid crossing the glacial river.

The 7 kilometer long hike from Inderdalen Gård to Gråfjellhytta is well marked and takes approx. 3 hours. See hiking map in the row of images below. This hiking map can also be found at selected service companies in Hemnes.

At Inderdalen Gård you will find a heated service building with free toilets and shower facilities. The hosts also offer accommodation in one of the charming buildings on the farm, which was honored with the Olavsrosa in 2024. On selected days during the summer months, there is also an open café and farm shop.
