Right next to Korgen Community Center, at the start of the Wilderness Road, is the park in Svartebukta. Young and old come here to enjoy a picnic, take a stroll around the water, or to play and exercise. Now there is also a swimming beach in Svartebukta!
During the Korgen Summer Festival and other events, there are concerts from the beautiful outdoor stage. On dark evenings, this "inverted ship" is illuminated in beautiful colors, creating a very special atmosphere.
The park offers barbecue facilities, tables and benches, playground equipment and exercise equipment. The stage in the park can be rented for private events by contacting Hemnes Municipality.
Svartebukta is a great starting point for a stroll along the salmon river Røssåga, following the marked hiking trail, or for walking up to the old stone bridge at Sjøforsen. If you want a slightly longer round trip, you can follow the signs from Svartebukta for a 6 or 8 kilometer round trip.
If you need to shop for a picnic, you can find everything you need at Korgensenteret, one kilometer from the park.
