Kjensvasshytta is located on the waterfront at Kjensvatnet and can offer 28 beds. The cabin has electricity and water, and is accessible by car. The cabin has a universal design both inside and outside, including the sanitary facilities. Here you will also find a sauna and the opportunity to rent a boat.
Kjensvasshytta is an excellent starting point for trips to Okstindbreen and Oksskolten. The cabin is also a good starting point for trips to the other DNT cabins in Osktindan. From here to Rabothytta it is approx. 10 kilometers/4 hours, while it is approx. 8 kilometers/3 hours to Gressvasshytta.
It is possible to drive all the way to the cabin, but be aware that the road is closed in winter and often only opens at the turn of June/July. It is approx. 120 km from Korgen to the cabin if you come by car, but it is also a nice walk to Kjenvasshytta from Leirbotn in Leirskarddalen, which is only 18 km drive from Korgen and then 10 kilometers on foot.
