Goldsmith Merete Mattson has been located right down by the sea on Hemnesberget for several years, but she closed the shop at the end of June 2023. Fortunately, she continues to produce beautiful jewelry, and these can be purchased through the online store or at selected retail outlets in Hemnes* and Rana.
Merete has an eye for the unique in the nature and culture around her, and conveys this through delicately produced gold and silver jewelry with themes such as shells, the northern lights, the Arctic Circle and the midnight sun. She has even created a jewelry series with kamkaker, our local pastry, and is behind the municipality's mayor's necklace.
