A group of skilled and motivated volunteers in Hemnes Tourist Association make it possible for you and I to have a roof over our heads in our beautiful mountain world. Hemnes Tourist Association has no employees and its work is largely based on volunteerism.
Hemnes Tourist Association was founded in 1978, with the aim of promoting outdoor activities in Hemnes. Before this, the area was part of Rana and surrounding areas Tourist Association and Helgeland Tourist Association, which was founded in 1902.
Hemnes Tourist Association operates 4 cabins and 2 emergency shelters in the area around Okstindan, arranges tours throughout the municipality, and facilitates and marks hiking trails.
Every Thursday there is a café at Turisten, the tourist association's own premises in Korgen. Welcome to a mountain chat!
