Hemnes Boatbuilding Historical Association has been working for several years on the restoration of the Hemnes-built fishing boat MK Remi Ketil from 1967. In the spring of 2025, the new deck was finally completed, and now the volunteer group is looking forward to taking visitors out onto the fjord.
The goal is for the boat to be used for various purposes in the surrounding area as a living cultural monument. Schoolchildren, tourists and others interested in fishing, fjord and archipelago trips will be able to enjoy nice trips with Remi Ketil, by arrangement.
