Although Bjerka Camping is idyllically located in quiet surroundings right by the Bjerka River, it is only a few hundred meters from the E6 and Bjerka Railway Station.
In the summer of 2023, new local operators took over the campsite and gave it a real facelift. Siblings Arnela and Amer promise a good atmosphere and a pleasant stay for young and old.
Here, in the middle of Okstindan Nature and Culture Park, you have a good starting point for day trips in the area. For example, if you like exploring new mountains, you can take your pick in all directions, and many of them are actually within walking distance of the campsite. Or you can rent an electric bike at the campsite and whizz around on pleasant back roads and into beautiful valleys. If you prefer to stay in the lowlands, you can take a stroll along the river and fjord. Don't forget your swimsuit, you might be tempted! Or maybe you'd rather bring your fishing rod?
You can buy camping food at the reception at the campsite, or at Coop Prix nearby. You can arrange dinner yourself in the communal areas, or you can treat yourself to a good meal at Bjerka Kro just a stone's throw away.
