Since 1976, Vallabotn Sanitetsforening has offered cozy premises for special occasions in the former classrooms at Vallaskola. The school was officially opened in February 1923 and was in operation until the school at Bjerka opened in the fall of 1976. Hemnes municipality then donated Vallaskola to Vallabotn Sanitetsforening.
In the fall of 2020, the Friends of Vallaskolas Venner were established. Together with the Sanitetsforeningen, they are working to restore the school and breathe new life into this venerable building that celebrated its 100th anniversary in February 2023! Large parts of the renovation are now complete and it is possible to rent the premises, although restoration of the old beautiful windows is occasionally taking place.
Facilities:
Vallaskola can offer a two-part hall of approx. 70 m2, and is suitable for events of up to 50 people. There is currently seating at long tables for 30 -40 people, as well as a slightly smaller number of seats in sofa groups and chairs. Wifi, a piano and a large screen with a sound system are available to guests.
In addition, the premises consist of:
* A small but well-equipped kitchen with freezer, refrigerator and steamer. Hatch into the hall.
* Dinner and coffee service, as well as glassware and cutlery for at least 40 people
* Large hallway and two toilets
* Outdoor area and parking space with space for a dozen cars.
Prices:
NOK 700,- for meeting room, half day morning
NOK 600,- for meeting room, half day afternoon
NOK 1200 for party room, full day
