«Kamkake»-café in Bleikvasslia

Monday-Friday from 11.00-14.00 all of July.

Just a couple of miles from Korgen is the mountain village of Bleikvasslia, and here, right by the Villmarksveien, is Sørfjelltunet with Gammelskola and Køtaplassen. In 2017, Bleikvassli Bygdelag was awarded the national Olavsrosa quality label for its efforts in cultural heritage protection for this particular area.

At Gammelskola, thousands of «kamkake» are baked every year, and throughout July you can see how this local traditional bread is made. Here you can also enjoy freshly baked kamkake in the café.
